As the IOC Evaluation Committee was wined and dined at the Art Institute in early April of 2009, there was a  protest outside of the New Wing of the Art Institute. This was a fun protest and the media did not give it much coverage, but during the Oprah interview we can hear the protesters loud and clear. (2 min, 33 sec)

Made in late November of 2008,  President-elect Barack Obama made a personal appeal to bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to his home city of Chicago. Obama appeared in a taped video message played to the general assembly of European Olympic Committees. (1 min, 16 sec)
