 It was hard enough to get coverage of our work WHILE we were fighting the Bid. AFTER Chicago lost the Bid, No Games Chicago was systematically and repeatedly erased from the public record. See the following two Extra Chapters - "No Games Chicago Is Erased From the Record" documents the Alice-In-Wonderland like series of local editorials and columnists in 2016 as the RIO Games unfolded, attempting to re-write history by claiming RELIEF that Chicago LOST the 2016 Games! These media outlets and pundits refused to acknowledge the work and impact of No Games Chicago. "Brazilian Gold - Bid President Arrested - No Games Erased Again" recounts how, in 2017, the President of the Brazilian Olympic Committee was arrested and later convicted (along with other high officials) of corruption and bribery. These sad events triggered another round of local media punditry - revisiting the Battle for the Bid and lifting up the Chicago 2016 Committee all over again. No mention of the work of No Games Chicago in tanking the Bid. That's a LOT of erasing!
